We were very pleased to have YG speakers in eight rooms at Capital Audiofest in Rockville, Maryland from 8-10 November, 2024.
Aside from four rooms with our new USA distributor, Supreme Acoustic Systems, our speakers were in four other manufacturer rooms, paired with electronics from Bel Canto, Burmester, Vinnie Rossi and Wells Audio.
Supreme Acoustic Systems had four YG rooms as part of their six rooms at CAF:
- XX 3 passive speakers paired with a full Soulnote Series 3 electronics stack and a BennyAudio Odyssey turntable--our gratitude to Kato-san and Iwahashi-san from Soulnote as well as Tomasz from BennyAudio for joining us at the show.
- Hailey 3 speakers paired with flagship Air-Tight electronics and a Bergmann Galder-Odin Signature turntable--many thanks to Miura-san from Air-Tight as well as Johnnie and Eva Bergmann for joining us at the show.
- Vantage 3 Live system with a Bergmann Magne turntable.
- Tor speakers with a Soulnote A-3 integrated amplifier.
These were all using Cardas cables and HiFi-Stay equipment racks.
Our partner rooms were:
- Sonja 3.3 speakers with Bel Canto, who is our partner for our Live products, demonstrating their four-box Black system.
- Hailey 3 speakers with Vinnie Rossie, demonstrating their BRAMA Gen 2 Integrated amplifier.
- Carmel 3 speaker and a Basis subwoofer with Burmester, in the USA show debut of their 232 integrated amplifier.
- Summit speakers with a Descent subwoofer with Wells Audio, using their Majestic 2 Level 3 integrated amplifier and Cipher 2 Level 2 DAC.
These were using Cardas and Audioquest cabling.
All eight sounded superb: a difficult achievement given the size and shape of the rooms.
